My puppy chewed the drain hose off of my Big Green Progessional Carpet Cleaner, so I ordered a new hose for $54. I received the part I purchased but I was unable to attach the brush, so I called the Bissell support line and asked Eugene how to attach the brush to the hose. He sent me a video that did not help, and then sent me pictures of the new brush. Then he decided to send me the entire hose and brush after the entire ordeal. First, he couldn’t find my account, Then he asked me for the serial number of the machine I was using, and I said I’d already given it to someone the last time I called and I said, doesn’t he have a record of my machine? So then he found out that I do have a big green Carpet Cleaning machine. I asked him why it was so noisy in his office. I could barely hear him speak, and he said he muted the background noise which was a huge relief because it was terribly noisy and unnecessary. He sent me photographs of brushes that might look like mine, and I finally had to measure mine and found out that I had a 6 inch brush.Comparing the two hoses, I realized that the new hose had a faulty attachment device. So I offered to send the old hose back if he would send me a prepaid shipping label, but he said that’s not necessary, which was a relief. Overall, I was satisfied with the end result of the call, but worn out and annoyed at the length of time it took to resolve my issue. I have two large Labradors, so the machine has come in handy more times than I can count. However, if you are a 70-year-old retired and partially disabled female like I am, I would highly recommend not buying this machine. It does not have a power propulsion motor and it is very heavy and difficult to use. If you’re strong enough, go ahead and order it if you need it, but otherwise I would recommend a regular Bissell.
